The ACP inspires its members to pursue professional advancement and personal fulfillment through education, lifelong learning, research, advocacy, leadership, communication, and service. With more than 3,800 members and affiliates internationally including prosthodontists, dental technicians, dental students, and other dental professionals who have significantly contributed to the specialty.
The American Dental Association recognizes the ACP as the organization for the specialty of prosthodontics, and the ACP is the only prosthodontic specialty association where membership is based solely on education credentials. ACP members must be in or have completed an ADA-accredited advanced education program in prosthodontics.

The American Association of Endodontists is dedicated to excellence and quality in the art and science of endodontics and to the highest standard of patient care. The Association inspires its members to pursue professional advancement and personal fulfillment through education, research, advocacy, leadership, communication and service.
With the support of over 8,000 endodontists, general dentists, support staff and corporate partners worldwide, it should be no surprise that AAE’s impact is felt globally. Below are just a few of the ways that the AAE and members are working to advance the specialty of endodontics and make a difference.

Founded in 1900, the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) is the world’s oldest and largest dental specialty organization. It represents more than 17,000 orthodontist members throughout the United States, Canada and abroad.
Purposes:
To promote the highest standards of excellence in orthodontic education and practice.
To encourage and sponsor research to advance the science and art of orthodontics
To educate the public about the benefits of orthodontic treatment.
To provide advocacy and services that benefits the members’ pursuit of professional success.

Following the introduction of osseointegration to North America in 1982, a group of dental clinicians from the Greater New York area participated in a course entitled “Osseointegration in Clinical Dentistry.”
Subsequently, the group formed a study club to share research and information. This local study club eventually concluded that a national organization was essential to foster education and advancement in this field. As a result, the Academy of Osseointegration was formed.
For 28 years, the Academy has met throughout North America. Currently, the Academy plans to meet both within North America and abroad. Meeting participation has increased and membership now exceeds 6,000 professionals in nearly 70 countries.

The WFO was formed at the 4th International Orthodontic Congress (IOC) in San Francisco by 69 affiliated organizations on May 15, 1995 and now has over 8000 WFO fellows and 109 affiliated organizations.
The purpose of the WFO is to advance the art and science of orthodontics throughout the world.
The WFO is currently based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) was founded in 1972. Devoted to providing implant education to the entire dental team to better serve its patients, the ICOI is not only the world’s largest dental implant organization, but it is also the world’s largest provider of continuing dental implant education.
The ICOI is an association of general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, laboratory technicians, auxiliaries, industry representatives, researchers, faculty members, pre and post doctoral graduate dental students as well as the general public.

La Academia Costarricense de Especialistas en Periodoncia (ACEP), formerly known as Costa Rican Academy of Periodontology and Implantology (ACOPI), born and formed by dental specialists in periodontics, who came together to ensure ethics among its members and their scientific and humanistic improvement. In addition, ACEP is interested in the knowledge and dissemination of preventive and curative procedures that can be performed in patients from the specialty of periodontics in Costa Rica.
